Brainstorming a New Business Concept!

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Business Idea, Business Tips

As I said before, I mix the concept development lessons with real-life opportunity. I have a new day for you to learn and possibly win.

A few weeks ago some friends invited my wife and I go with them to a comedy club. As we sat at the table with a drink, our conversation turned to a neon beer on the wall. I said if I never built a bar in my house, I would be a sign of the neon beer on the wall behind the bar. My friend says he just fail to buy one in an auction for a friend. A “Fosters Beer” one.

We have a mutual friend, whose name is Foster and he happens to be finishing his basement and he put in a bar. Then I started thinking, would not that be cool, be a sign of the neon beer to your bar, and the name of the beer is the same as your surname. I want one. Then I thought – I bet that many people with bars would be a sign of the neon beer with their name. Maybe they would not need a bar to want one. I know that the custom commands or custom is popular. Just think how many people have personalized license plates on their cars. Neon is also popular. I realize now that I’m on a pretty good idea.

Then I remembered a piece of correspondence from the sixties that a guy has a lot of money. (Your Story MO) He sold family crests and coat of arms posters hanging on the wall – by mail to lists of people who shared the same surname. The basic concept is identical to that idea. He had to choose a popular name, so I got a list of everyone he could with the same surname. He then took his custom product that particular name and sold it like crazy. When that name stopped making money he went to another.

What if someone was offering beer signs neon custom with the people of surnames. You can easily get a mailing list of persons selected by name, who have either expressed interest in custom stuff, bought supplies bar, or who supply beer. (There are other criteria that you might look too)

Then send us an offer custom and limited time for these people. A tender with a nice photo of the one and only beer sign that bares their name. Showing how it would look on their wall, behind the bar. Would not be impressed their friends, what to talk about.

Initial costs to test the idea is also good. By focusing on a family name in time, just design and make a sign of the beginning of the sample used for promotional photos. The model for the sign would be used repeatedly.

Your only other costs in advance to test the idea of printing, distribution and rental list. You may even be able to use one of these CD phonebook to develop a mailing list for testing. The product is unique enough to get free press.

My second thought is given to future sales, what to sell these people next. What about their own six pack of beer. Beer bottles with fancy labels personalized with their name as the brewer. Or maybe personalized mugs of beer, or cocktail napkins. Maybe you can attach a micro beer functionality of months. Yep, lots of options here.

So far so good. But what about having signs taken? Then I thought of all manufacturers of neon signs I saw around town. I bet one or several of these artists looking for work. If I were to describe the idea to one of them, asking them if they would be interested in developing such a sign can be interchangeable with different names (beginning with your own) with the possibility of manufacturing and sell more, I would be happy to find someone to do it.

You just see a brainstorm that has developed a commodity to make money with direct marketing. One that would be cheap to test and has great potential. For those of you who are looking to develop your own thing, remember to consider the possibility of using the expertise of other peoples. In most cases, teaming up with someone helps me. Also keep an eye open for what is popular and how it can be applied to other things. We know that personalization is always popular, we see examples every day. We also see that the neon is again very popular. So are micro-beers. This is history repeating itself. Learn.

Yea! Yea! Yea! But this idea of making money to sign someone? I can not predict the success or complete failure, nobody can. Success depends on things other than the product. But this idea has many positive aspects. Enough points if I had time I would try it. The losses are minimal if it does not work. If it does, the total universe of potential customers is fantastic. In my opinion, the benefits outweigh the risks.

The only problem I see is shipping the glass is fragile. But you could make a positive from this port by the sign on a wooden mock large, perhaps stencilled with the name giving the value … and signify its importance. Perhaps the case of maritime transport could also be due to a double wine rack. Ultimately, the introduction of any new concept, division, or a catalog, ends with someone having the courage and the decision to … Do It!

As a final reminder, remember that it is a demonstration brainstorming can be applied to many things, you do not work in neon signs or beer, just plug the concept in the toolbox of your mind for future reference to apply to your particular business and their thought processes.
